True Office (now called Learning Pool) makes gamified compliance training programs for thousands of companies, many of them Fortune 500. As a freelancer, I wrote game scripts for topics like Anti-Money Laundering, Data Security, and Code of Conduct, to name a few. Much like a good episode of Law & Order, the training games we made used ripped-from-the-headlines scenarios and a whodunit plot, making a normal boring requite into something at least nominally engaging. Each script included dialog and profiles for an office’s worth of characters, voice-over narrations, multiple settings with interactive objects, cutscenes, quizzes, and a grand finale.
